linux 你的Home 最好和其它分开，这样如果系统崩溃，需要重装时，自己的文件，程序等不会被format掉。最好user也分开，你可能自己安装了其它软件，像gdb,ddd之类的不用重下载了 -rock_jack(The Door); 2001-8-20 (#173553@0)

That is a very good point. What I meant was that Linux can occupy an extended partition and on that partition you can have as many logic partitions as you want for /, /home, /usr etc. filesystems.Unlike any other unix for PC which uses a self contained partition that will be further divided into filesystems, linux's partition scheme is the same with dos. -dennis2(Dennis); 2001-8-20 {161} (#173713@0)
