不用再交别的费用. DSL MODEM和一块ETHERNET卡的租金是含在里边的. 不需要签合同, 随时可以解约, 知识解约时需要将设备退回BELL. 当然, 一条电话线是需要的, 另外算钱.

Does that mean the rate displayed in the Access Manager a faked one? I know the posted rate is 960kbps, but somehow my connection can be at 1.1-1.2mbps.You know it's not consistant, but you can reach it.
Even the 960kbps is not consistant.
So what do you want to say?

和他计较啥。可能Bell说的是平均值吧，而且DSL与机房的距离也有关系。1.X估计是峰值，不会一直保持吧？我用DDN才2Mb/s

有很多种办法. WIN2000的INTERNET SHARE大概是最省钱的办法. 我目前也是两台机器上网, 用的是SYGATE.

到ebay里面search一下，一堆，超便宜。FutureShop里面230的Linksys，ebay里卖85美圆...不过质量大家自己把关，这些拍卖的东西要小心。

It is too stupid to use rount, sygate software and so on. If you use bell sympatic, why not hook up your two computers directly only by a very simple hub ($30). East does it. you can ping two IP. someone talk about it today.

多谢各位，小弟只是问个小问题，结果大侠们聊着聊着俺都看不懂了。。。主要是租来的房子所以不能用房东的cable。 如果把CABLE MODEN之类的设备接到HUB上，那么两台机器就可以随时单独上网，也可以同时上网了吗？

I use Sympatico high speed version including 10h free dial-up service monthly for the price of $39.99. But since the service, someone else has been enjoying my dial-up service, at my cost!I contacted Bell and was told to send email to abuse@sympatico.ca, I did so and Bell replied saying they are not responsible, even I have clearly told them that I didn't release my user ID or password to anyone else! So, be careful, or anyone has any smart ideas, such as installing a firewall, or simply cancel that dial-up service? Thanks.
