My LG always says that I cannot pronouse "n" well. Like nine, engineer, enter. I tried to practise a lot, but couldn't get it. Could you please give me some tip? thanks!

发"l" 的小诀窍:It's true that the "l" in the middle or at the end of a word is a tough one. The trick my accent reduction instructor taught me is to put the tongue tip forward between the teeth. Remember the tongue movement each time when there is an "l". The exceptions are: Walk, Talk, Should, Would and Could. The"l" here is silent.

不知道, 从字典看好象只提了亚洲.A male of the human species castrated; commonly, one of a class of such persons, in Oriental countries, having charge of the women's apartments. Some of them, in former times, gained high official rank.

Uhh ... What I mean is your instructor shouldn't say your pronounciation is wrong when you don't 卷舌. It's just different accent. But on the other hand, since we are in north America (like you said), we'd better follow their rules :-)

The course I am taking is Accent Reduction, therefore, anything which doesn't fit the north american rules is wrong to my instructor... :))
