TN has little to do with green card. Surprised so many people have little knowledge about immigration. Green card process (or immigration process) is a different process.

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛TN, H1B, L1A/L1B are all non-immigrant worker visa types, meaning they will NOT immigrate you to the US. You can hold these visas for many years and you will not get your green card if you don't start the immigrant worker visa petition process. But these non-immigrant worker visas do help you build relationship with your employer so that your employer may sponsor you for immigration (getting the green card) down the road. But it all depends on the intention of your employer when they hire you and when you request for immigration sponsorship. Some employers are willing and helpful, many of them are not, and some of them simply don't want the hassle. Also it depends on the business performance and business need at the time. The relationship between you and your manager is very important when you request for immigration sponsorship. When both of you decide to go ahead with your immigration, then a new process starts.       I have enjoyed living in Canada more than living in the US. My visiting Canada two months ago felt like going home. The first thing I did was to indulge myself in Tim Hortons with a large double-double with a 12-grain bagel toasted with butter. Canada is really awesome!!!
