This afternoon, I was at Swiss Chalet.

I was going to ask for a soup, so I asked the waitress what kind of "soup" do they have. The waitress seemed to be lost for a minute, then she told me where I could find the soup in the menu.

Then later, my friend asked me, "erinca, what did you ask?" He could not help laughing, "I thought you were just asking for "Soap" to rinse your hands."

Oh boy, no wonder the waitress could not understand me at first. You see, I always bring fun to my friends. hehe

One day, my boss asked me:" erinca, do I have to give Marc these documents today?"

"No", I answered, "You needn't, Marc said no rush".

hehe, my boss teased me, " Maybe British people will say "NEEDN"T", but we Canadians would like to say "you don't have to""

You see, I always cook up some expressions myself, like "needn't". If nobody told me whether they are right or wrong, I won't know it. And I will continue to use it.

And speaking about British, when I first came to Toronto, people always told me, "You have very pleasant British accent". I felt so proud about that, now I know, they were telling me, "You have very funny way of speaking." hehe.
