My situation before I came to Canada was just about the same as yours. My wife and I both work for international companies and got good annual family income. I know it is not an easy decision for you.
I suggest you can plan a short visit to Canada, say 10-15 days, to see what Canada really likes and you need not resign at this time. If you still hesitate, you will have another half year to choose. That was what I did early this last year. We landed in Canada for 10 days last Feb and came back to Beijing. After 6 months, we still decided to give up all we have in China and came to Canada. In my opinion, there are some thing money cannot buy, like fresh air (remember the sand storms last year?), fresh water, good educational system, political stability, so on and so force. But the problem is just what you mention in your post that you have to give up all you have (a very good life) and begin from the start.
But this still will be your personal decision. You have to decide by your self.
