本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Numbers months ago I saw that someone posted an email and told us that he
was stolen a couple thousands dollars by TD bank. I thought it is just an
occasional case. Today, I do not think so since it happened to me.
Noon Sept. 11, I deposited 900 dollars coins at TD bank at Dundas &
University. Clerk Christian counted the coin in the front of me, and it
was exactly what I told him. He asked me whether I need a receipt and I told
him no. One hour later, I went to the website and to see the result of my
bank actions and found my money was deducted. Its comment is ¡°incorrect
deposit¡±. I immediate went to bank again and talked with their manager
assistant Atthony Russo. He told me he would check and then brought the
money with same rolling paper in the front of me. He asked me whether these
was the money I deposited and I told him their paper looked like what I had.
Then he counted the money and told me they are right. It means I did not
deposited money as I first agreed with Christian. I checked money and found
the packing way was different from my packing way and told him. He told me
he is on the back of his clerk since he hired them and trusted them, there
was not possibility someone stole money. And he removed the money in the
front of me and told me the money is bank property and did not want to
answer my question why the packing way was different from my way. It was
obvious that he found the difference but did not want me to catch it. I told
him there might be someone who changed the money. He drove me out of the
bank and gave me a card and told me to call his boss ¨C John Baird the
branch Manager. I called the Branch Manager many times and did not get his
answer.
I wonder if anyone could offer me some ideas how to deal with this problem.
I want handle this issue until the end. It is not for the money but it is
for my Chinese honor. I do not want them think Chinese is a race who just
want avoid trouble. I want them to learn that Chinese is also honorable.
I have already report this case to Police officer for fraud. He told me he
would call me back next week. I wonder if I should go to court and what kind
of court I should go. And still, I wonder if I should ask police officer to
take evidence ¨C those money.
Any suggestion would be appreciated very much.
Many thanks,
