If we compare the difficulty of Snow Bird and chinese "81" , we will find the space between the planes is different. The Snow Bird is only 5-10 meters. The "81" is about 20-30 meters. The nadir in the show is also different. One is about 30-50 meters and one is 50-100 meters.
But most important is the enviorment. The temperature in lakeside of toronto is only 22-24 degree,no cloud. So we can watch the show very clearly and still feel comfortable. I remembered last two times the temperature in ZhuHai was about 30 degrees. I was drived by the crowd of people from one place to another. Ai.... , I hope someday the chinese can be scattered a litter bit to all the country or all the world so we can really enjoy something.
There are some advanced plances like C-17 , F-16 from american, But I feel the Snow Bird is the best.
